I don’t know where it comes from…my mind or my heart.
But from somewhere within me creativity kind of oozes out.
My mind is frequently crowded with images or ideas that are just waiting to be created.Well, that is most of the time…
But then there are times where I have nothin’.
And I mean nothing!
I just stare blankly…
This is where my fun little glass container saves the day!
I call it my creative mojo, pixie dust, imagination dust, or inspiration in a jar…sure, I KNOW it is JUST iridescent glitter.
But at the end of the day, this little jar of sparkles reminds me to declutter my thoughts, relax, take a few deep breaths, and start fresh…the creativity is inside of me somewhere. I simply need to let it surface.
{Which basically means: DESTROY everything I’ve created up to that point and just start over!}
And if that doesn’t work, I have a back up arsenal of ‘creativity in a jar’!
You might want to have a little jar of ‘sparkling creativity’ to keep near you…can’t hurt, might help!
And just a little update, my office make-over is nearly complete. I want to finish some details before posting pictures online! It should be coming soon!
Can’t wait to see it!!!!!!!

Karen, I am chomping at the bits to show everyone! I am ALMOST DONE!!! (if I can find a way to hide all these pesky cords! They are my nemesis!! Everything is so clean and streamlined…and then I have big ugly cords. 🙁
I love this! This came on the day that I was having ‘one of those days’. I worked on 5 print designs and hated every single one of them. I was about ready to pull out the classifieds in the newspaper. It’s nice to know that other artists have days like me. Love the jar of sparkling creativity, so cute.

I am so glad you liked it!
Okay, and it makes me feel so much better that it isn’t just me that has these kind of days! I love your artwork…clever and whimsical…
And I know you were teasing, but don’t you dare get another job! It would be a shame for your designs to stop! I find your work inspirational!
I think you need a jar of sparkling creativity in your work area! 😉
PS) I’ve got a few characters I am working on right now that I am NOT in love with…I have redrawn them completely at least 3 times…they are not.my.thing. (but it is a commissioned job, so I have got to find a way to make it happen!

Lamai, I added a picture to the blog (I actually had planned for it to be on the original post, but my computer went crazy and would not let me add the final photo.) But thought you’d be amused by it! 🙂
Have a great day!
